Challenge

The client's need was to develop a course that should be simple to use yet be learner centric so as to ensure that the usage is an enjoyable experience for the end users. The ground reality was that many of the client's employees were not aware of the concept of E-Learning. Although we received lots of inputs from the client about the needs, nevertheless the information was insufficient. Our challenge was to connect the dots based on the info received and develop the course as per the set requirement. Also, there was a special need from the client to include illustrated images in the course making sure the learning process is effective.

Solution

We laid out the following strategies to meet the requirements of the client.
» Making use of a very simple User Interface (UI) including simple navigation buttons and easy instructions to browse the course.
» The course would open with an orientation page that will explain about all the buttons and navigation tools used in the course.
» Our instructional designers worked exhaustively to collect the missing pieces of information. The added information was sourced through rigorous book reading sessions, online forum searches and SME consultations.
» The language used in the course was simple and the approach very lucid. This was coupled with interactive user screens and assessments to ensure that the user attention is grabbed.
» Our visual team succeeded in completing the task of sourcing all the relevant illustrations and images to be used in the course.
